Subaru Forester New orders seemed to hit a nerve with Japanese buyers/ Subaru says that it has received a 8149 pre-orders for the redesigned crossover since orders began on 13 November. The Forester is all-new for 2014, with engines larger body revised: it makes the 2.5-liter naturally aspirated old H-4 engine as standard, but adds a 2.0-liter turbocharged H-4 as an option).
When we first drove Forester (in prototype form) we found it to handle and drive awesome, and found the continuously variable transmission to be pretty good at both the base 2.5-liter naturally aspirated and 2.0-liter turbo models (although we have still prefer the six-speed manual is available on the naturally aspirated models). The party-vision Subaru Forester a camera-based active safety systems we found that to be an unobtrusive way to ensure you do not stray from your lane or rear-end traffic ahead.
Looks like our mind quite closely matched the Japanese Subaru enthusiasts: a report today from Subaru said that 36 percent of buyers go for the model 2014 2.0-liter turbocharged Forester with vision (top trim), while 33 percent of buyers opted for the middle class of naturally aspirated model ( Japanese market get 2.0-liter engine than the 2.5-liter that we were) with vision. All, says Japan Forester buyers snatched Vision models fitted over them is not equipped with a size of nearly 9 to 1. Not surprisingly, the exterior color of the most requested / ordered white.
When contacted today, Subaru USA said it was too early to estimate the take rate on the Forester vision 2014 for the U.S. market, especially considering that the Car is not yet available for pre-order here (US-market car debuted at the LA Auto Show last month). Do not expect nearly 90 percent of the U.S. market-Foresters to come up with a vision, well:
Strategies Subaru USA with the system (which is in its third generation debuted in Japan but in the U.S. this year) is to package it only on the top trim level of their cars each. Seeing as the visual system has eight percent-taking levels in the Outback and Legacy nine percent, it's safe to assume that the Forester buyers will follow suit and buy a box choice between five and ten percent of the time.
