Hypercar Icona Vulcano Born in Shanghai

SHANGHAI-A new Italian supercar with a V12 petrol engine combined with an electric motor that produces 950 horsepower, named Icona Vulcano, will slide in the Shanghai Motor Show 2013.

Hyper car with a V12 engine is a variant produced by a new manufacturer. As quoted by Autocar, Icona Vulcano brought the concept of beauty and the beast, which is indication of the design and the engine.

Icona is an Italian automobile design house based in Shanghai, China. While Vulcano is the first super car project they recently completed works.

Icona designed by former Ferrari technical director Claudio Lombardi. Vulcano Icona V12 engine is handled directly by Lombardi who have experienced success in F1. Lombardi recently established AIPA to work on hybrid engines.

With a V12 engine, capable of producing power Icona Vulcano more than 900 horsepower. Icona claimed to be capable of reaching a top speed of more than 350km/ours (217mph) and acceleration records 0-200km/ours (124mph) in under 10 seconds.

The design team led by Samuel Vulcano Icona Chuffart, known ever joined Jaguar, Land Rover and Nissan.
